What is the Bradgate Arms Repair Café?
The Bradgate Arms Repair Café is a free community event, managed by the Fix it Group 23 and located at the Bradgate Arms Cropston, focused on repairing things. You can bring a broken household item to the event where a volunteer will assess the item and will either fix it or help you make a plan for how and where to get the item fixed- all whilst you enjoy the perfect pint of cask ale, guest beers, traditional lagers and ciders or put an end to that rumble in your stomach with a meal served in the fantastic dining area!
What can you repair?
We fix small electrical items like toasters, kettles, radios, vacuum cleaners and hi-fis. Most of these items can be fixed using replacement parts we carry or just some glue! We fix a variety of toys, clocks and small items of furniture.
Sometimes we can’t fix things... and sometimes, if items look fragile, we won’t try but we’re always happy to offer advice or try and help you find a professional repairer.
What should I bring?
Bring your broken item! Please make sure you have all the parts and it is clean. If your item is large then you can bring us a photograph or show us an image on a device but please make sure you can see the fault on the photo! If you wish, you can email us a photograph of your item prior to your arrival to thefixitgroup23@gmail.com.
Please Be Aware: A parking camera has been installed at this venue!
The venue has introduced a new parking system to ensure spaces remain available for customers. All visitors must enter their correct vehicle registration upon arrival using the tablets located at both bars. If you are unsure how to register, please ask the pub staff for assistance.
This decision has been made by the venue, and The Fix It Group 23 has no control over these regulations. Failure to register your vehicle may result in a parking fine.
The venue has advised that this system is in place to support their business and ensure fair use of the car park.
