Fundraising

At The Fix It Group 23, we are committed to supporting our community not only through our free-of-charge services but also by contributing to other impactful charities. Each year, we raise funds through donations at our events. After covering the operational costs required to sustain our own charitable work, the remaining proceeds are donated to three deserving charities chosen by our members.

You can also support our work by donating online. Your contribution helps us continue providing essential free-of-charge services and raise funds for the charities we support. Visit our Square page here to make a donation today.

Looking Ahead to 2026

At the end of 2026, our members will once again nominate and vote for three charities to receive any surplus funds we raise. This ensures our donations continue to reflect the causes that matter most to the people involved in The Fix It Group 23 and allows us to keep supporting impactful, community-focused organisations year after year.

Loughborough Area Foodbank

This organisation provides emergency food parcels and essential supplies to individuals and families in crisis. They aim to ensure no one in the Loughborough area goes hungry during difficult times.

Leicester Children’s Holidays

A long-established charity supporting disadvantaged children by providing essential items, funding for school trips, mental health support, and access to enrichment activities. They also organise holidays and short breaks to create joyful and lasting memories.

Hope Against Cancer

This Leicestershire-based charity funds cutting-edge research into cancer treatment and prevention. Their work focuses on delivering hope and improved outcomes for those affected by cancer in the region.

Looking Back on Our Giving Journey

In 2025, we increased our fundraising contributions to £400 for each of the three charities selected by members. Each organisation was nominated by members for the meaningful work they do — from supporting vulnerable people to fighting illness and hardship.

Mental Health UK

Supporting individuals and families affected by mental health challenges through helplines, resources, and community programmes, promoting well-being and resilience.

The Fire Fighters Charity

Providing physical rehabilitation, mental health counselling, and social support to fire and rescue service personnel and their families, ensuring they receive the care they need.

The Swallows

A head and neck cancer support charity offering guidance, community, and resources to patients and carers. Their helpline and awareness campaigns provide crucial assistance to those in need.

In 2024, The Fix It Group 23 raised £250 for three fantastic charities through donations collected at our Repair Café events. After deducting necessary costs, these funds were shared equally among the thee causes.
